Go with the flow!

I lost the condo that I got last week due to my lender and the selling agent making mistakes.  I went house hunting for the 5th week in a row and last Friday bought a condo that is, in the end, the perfect place for me!  I will be blogging on the bog as my cousin, Annette, aptly put it.  The condo is on Baxter Bog in Anchorage, it's quiet and has beautiful mountain views.  It feels like home.

I will put this carpet on the stairs.  I cannot do laminate because it is too costly.  I think the carpet will actually bring a coziness to the place that will soften the contemporary look.  It is reasonable at $3.38/sq. foot and is good quality. 

This is the laminate that will go throughout the entire unit.  It is grey with a hint of brown.  It is a matte finish and has an organic feel that will tone down the contemporary look.  It will look beautiful and is only $4 sq/foot instead of the hardwood I fell in love with at $12.50 sq. foot!

The kitchen cabinets will be by Canyon Creek in an Italian thermofoil.  They will be white and glossy.  Below is the base I am going for.  I have the white Natuzzi couch ordered.  Can you start seeing how modern but cozy this place will be?  What accent colors will I use in the kitchen and living room?!
